Freezing Day 2 At The Roar Before The Rolex 24 Practice Sessions

The temperatures dipped lower on day 2 of the Roar Before the Rolex 24 practice sessions. The second day of practice witnessed cold temperatures, light snow, freezing rain, sleet and patches of ice in the morning. These caused a delay in the sessions, which were then initiated in the latter half of the day. However, the drivers and their teams stood undeterred in spite of the frost around the tracks and were successful in posting some admirable times. Michael Valiante led the Daytona Prototypes by recording the fastest lap on the tracks. Once the afternoon sessions began for the three-day test series, Michael Valiante sped away at 126.594 mph in his No. 6 Michael Shank Racing Ford Riley to post a lap time of 1:41.237.
