The registrations for the 2010 Rolex Miami OCR closed on Friday, 8th of January. The annual regatta which was established in 1990 by US SAILING has been a major attraction for the most elite sailors from around the world to compete in the Olympic and Paralympic classes. This year more than 640 sailors from 45 countries have registered for the regatta. These numbers have far surpassed last year’s entries and prove the popularity of the regatta with the most prominent Olympic and Paralympic medalists and World Champions participating in the event. The regatta promises the most elite international competition that the waters of Biscayne Bay have witnessed. The dates for the regatta have been affixed from 24 January to 30 January. The registered sailors would be sailing in the classes selected for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
