Reigning NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson, will team up with Alex Gurney and Jon Fogarty to compete for top honors at the Watkins Glen International road course, starting from June 4. This will be Johnson’s second start with the GAINSCO/Bob Stalling Racing team for the 2010 season.
This is the first time Johnson will be participating in the traditional 3.4 mile Grand-AM Rolex Sports Car Series at Glen, which has hosted some of the greatest race drivers, since it started out in the 1950’s. The six hour race has become an integral part of the motor sports scene since then.
